They’re lying to you.
Believing “Calories don’t matter” is making you fat, clueless and angry.
Calories matter if you’re:
– losing fat
– maintaining
– building muscle
– looking for the truth
Building your dream body means understanding calories
This is why calories matter:
When starting chasing my dream body – I assumed eating homecooked meals leads to losing fat.
– I didn’t track calories
– I didn’t create low calorie meals
– I didn’t think calories mattered as much as eating healthy foods
Suprise:
I got fatter.
This is why calories matter:
1. You need calories to survive
BMR is the number of calories your body burns to keep you alive .
Stuff like:
– Breathing
– Pumping blood
– Maintaining body temperature
There’s more:
Knowing your BMR is essential for fat loss & muscle gain.
BMR calculators are a useful starting point – but, these calculators only give an estimate of your BMR.
The only way to find your true BMR is through testing & observing yourself like a lab rat.
(My formula for testing yourself and finding your correct BMR and calorie goals is in my Ebook Getting Lean )

For fat loss:
2. Burn more calories than you consume to lose fat
Losing fat isn’t about what diet you pick.
Losing fat isn’t about what cardio you do.
Losing fat is about burning more calories than you consume.
This is called a calorie deficit.
That’s not all:
Calorie deficit for noobs:
e.g.
Your BMR is 2000.
You Consume 2000 calories.
You burn 500 calories walking.
= calorie deficit of 500 calories
500 calorie deficit per day = 1lb fat loss per week
Eat less or burn more calories to create a calorie deficit.
Simple science.
For building muscle:
3. Consume more calories than you burn to gain weight
Eat more or burn less to create a calorie surplus
Don’t do this if your fat – you can build muscle and lose fat in a deficit while you’re above 15% body fat.
This is for skinny dudes.
Calories In (consumed) vs Calories Out (burned)
(CICO)
Is key to fat loss & weight gain.
Nothing else matters.
Crazy part is:
If you eat chocolate all day and stay in a calorie deficit – you lose fat
But – I don’t suggest this
Why?
You’d feel mad hungry
Eating these foods:
– high protein foods
– low calorie, high volume foods
Makes you less hungry – easier to stay in a caloric deficit
This is why calories matter:
1. You need calories to survive
2. Burn more calories than you consume to lose fat
3. Consume more calories than you burn to gain weight
Stop getting duped by lies and start understanding the truth behind your fitness and health…
