​Yesterday I was writing/recording a new song…

I spent hours trying to find a theme/subject I wanted to write about.

I went in one direction…

Wasn’t feeling it.

Went in another direction…

Didn’t work.

The interesting part is:

After hours of feeling like my mojo was gone…I found the RIGHT theme and the song started pouring out of me!

Now, I’ve only finished the first verse and I’m still working on the pre-chorus and chorus…

But, the point is – I’m on the right track.

I’m into the groove of the song so I can keep going…

The hardest part is starting!

You gotta give your mind the time it needs to lock onto the right vibe…

Then when you’ve started writing…

You still gotta give your mind the time it needs to come up with all the interesting lyrics, flows and melodies…

(sometimes this means looping the beat for hours until you come up with something you LOVE)

Writing a song is a marathon, not a sprint.

Don’t rush it…

It’s a bunch of trial and error…

When you stop making errors and everything comes together – it’s one of the most beautiful feelings ever!

Another beautiful feeling is sharing your song with the world…

I’m gonna upload my next single to Spotify today…
