Yesterday I told you about my attempt at making jollof rice.

I used scotch bonnet pepper sauce instead of actual scotch bonnets – which is likely blasphemy to most Nigerians…

And it came out tasting a bit meh…

But the thing is:

The day after, it actually tasted better!

I was even eating it out the pot while I was making pancakes…

(Honestly, I ate so many calories yesterday so I need to take it easy today)

But, it wasn’t all sunny days and rainbows…

Yesterday I planned to edit 6 videos but it didn’t work out…

Why?

Because 4 of the 6 videos ended up being corrupted.

Audio out of sync…

No screen audio etc.

Sad times.

And these weren’t short videos either…

These 4 videos being gone means I wasted at least 2 hours of my time.

Gone. With nothing to show for it…

I had some great videos filmed like:

4 common rapping mistakes that make your song BORING

That video is gonna help you out SOO much…

But now you have to wait a bit longer for it.

Because I gotta re-film all 4 of these videos next week smh.

That’s disheartening.

But it doesn’t end there:

The silver lining is that I’ll be able to make these 4 videos even better!

And, instead of spending the entire day editing yesterday, I spent the rest of the day playing Rimworld and getting Xbox Game Pass setup on my laptop…

(That’s gonna be GREAT when I take my week off this month…)

The lesson here is:

Sometimes things don’t go to plan.

That’s life.

You can sit around and complain about it.

But being a competitive complainer doesn’t fix anything.

Go-getters solve their problems and learn from their mistakes.

We improve and get better.

We follow in the steps of others that know what they’re doing.

Then we adapt those steps and make changes until we create our own path.

But we never give up.

Quitting is for losers, for the competitive complainers.

Which one are you?

The good news is:

You can avoid making a mistake you’ll regret, right now.

You still have time to join the smart go-getters who claimed their $50 and got early access to my new music production course.

When this lockdown ends and you’ve gotta go back to work, do you wanna be kicking yourself and saying “I wish I had the time to learn music production”?

Do you wanna pay $50 more and miss out on this HUGE discount?

Do you wanna keep relying on other people to ALLOW you to create music?
