Basically, when you buy a license, you have limited rights to use the beat you bought a license for.

The limits on your rights depends on the license you purchased.

I still own the beat. You are not buying the rights to owning the beat.

So the smartest move for you is to keep the beat tag at the start of the beat IMO.

If the usage of one of my beats is part of the process of you making money, then it’s considered commercial use. 

If the song you create generates any sort of revenue (Spotify, Itunes, Youtube…) you MUST purchase a license allowing commercial use directly on my website.

An MP3 file is a compressed audio file.

To compress the file, audio quality is sacrificed.

Compression can sometimes result in odd audio ‘artefacts’ that are detrimental to audio quality, especially to higher frequencies.

 This audio inaccuracy means that MP3s are not suitable for pro audio work.

A WAV file is an accurate, lossless format.

This means that the format reproduces the recording accurately without losing audio quality. 

As a result, for studio recordings, mastering, and pro-audio applications, WAVs are the standard format to work in.

No, the beats I post on our Youtube channel and the free downloads on my website are ONLY for non-commercial demo use.

If you want to make money off my beats, buy a license in my store.

Also:

Re-selling my instrumentals without vocal recordings is not allowed in any case. 

It means that every sound in the beat (drums, snares, hit hats, instruments, samples, vocals etc…) will be separately exported to high-quality WAV audio files - these are known as "stems" or "trackouts". 

This is great for you, because your audio engineer (or you) will have more control over the editing, mixing and mastering process of the beat. 

This will allow you to get the mix and master of your song EXACTLY how you want it.

You will still be able to use the beat if you bought it before an exclusive license to the beat was sold. 

When you buy any lease you will automatically receive a digital contract that grants you rights to use the beat as long as the contractual agreements are not violated. 

You can expect 3 new beats every week at LEAST.

Free beats are a great opportunity for you to download the beat that you're interested in and listen to it at the studio...

You can record a song and make the release of the final song available for free download or free streaming. 

Any and ALL monetization from one of my free beats is illegal...

E.g:

Uploading to websites like Spotify and Apple Music, etc. 

If you wanna make a music video with one of my beats, then you need to purchase a license. 

If you wanna have your song on the radio, then you need to purchase a license. 

If you wanna release a song made with one of our beats on websites where you get paid for your music (Spotify, Pandora, Itunes, etc.)

Then you need to purchase a license. 

If you would like to perform your song at a public event, then you need to purchase a license.

You can buy leases or exclusive rights to be able to make money from your song created with my free beat. 

A lease gives you the copyrights to create 1 derivative work (make a song from my beat), and then sell a number of copies (it depends on which lease you buy).

All of my licenses do NOT allow you to upload your song to YouTube’s Content ID system.

Jay Cartere/Producers retain ownership of the recording.

Due to the nature of YouTube’s content recognition software, uploading my beats to YouTube Content ID will cause mistaken copyright claims for other users and for your future projects, and that is a violation of my licensing terms.

Credit must always be given to ‘Jay Cartere’.

By making a purchase of any kind, the customer declares that he will give credit to the producer where possible in a written form (cd cover/booklet, youtube videos, social network pages such as twitter or facebook, etc.). 

Proper credit is given as follows: (Example credits: "Prod. by Jay Cartere" or "Produced by Jay Cartere"

Any displayed or downloadable MP3 files must include "Produced by Jay Cartere" within the file name.

Yes. If you're not pleased with your beats all you have to do is send an email to music@jaycartere.com within 30 days of your purchase.

If you refund a beat you will likely be blocked as a customer in the future because I only want to deal with SERIOUS GO-GETTER artists who KNOW what they want...

This does not apply to any duplicate purchases, if that happens you'll still be able to buy from me in the future.

Please note that if you request a refund for a beat, you will NOT be allowed to use it in ANY capacity (unless it's a refund for a duplicate purchase).

 I'll pursue legal action if you steal my beats, but, I know you wont do that to me.
