Being An Entrepreneur – My Daily Routine

For the past year, I have survived being self-employed. It wasn’t easy and it’s been a lot of work, but I love it. I’m far from rich or where I want to be in my career, but I have survived and I continue to survive. Being an entrepreneur can look fun and easy from the outside looking in, but when …

I think people tend to underestimate and overestimate the power of positive thinking. . Some people read some shit like “the secret” and then start to believe that they can sit around thinking positive thoughts and “the universe” will deliver their dreams to them on a silver platter. That is wrong. That is as useful as sending prayers and thoughts to someone who just lost their home and family in a war zone. . Positive thinking isn’t a magic wavelength that will attract the things you desire to you, anyone who tells you otherwise does NOT have your best interests at heart. . But positive thinking + consistent action towards your goals? That’s POWERFUL. Instead of being a negative nancy, you start looking for opportunities instead, you look for ways to fix or work around your problems instead of sitting around and moaning about them. . A positive mindset is VERY IMPORTANT. That’s why I cut out negativity ASAP. I used to try to debate with people online using logic and reason - then I realised that a lot of people didn’t want to discuss and learn, they just wanted to spew toxicity in someone’s direction. . I no longer waste my time with people like that. I’ve realised that is NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY to help you become less toxic, that’s on you. If you want to educate yourself, you have the tools to do so. I can’t and won’t try to teach every man to fish. . I block people as soon as I sense that they’re unreasonable, illogical toxic waste. I try not to waste my time trying to prove people wrong -although I do this is fb groups before I block someone, so everyone can see how stupid they are. But in MY ECOSYSTEM, where I can remove your comment and no1 will ever hear from you again? You best believe you’re getting banished ASAP, I couldn’t care less about your right to “free speech”, we only accept constructive, useful and positive speech over here. . GET RID of anyone that disturbs your positive mindset with their negativity. Those people are no good for you and they need to be expelled from around you. Focus on bringing people around you that have a “can do” attitude instead of those that moan about everything and say “I can’t”. . #BeBetter I AM WILLING TO DO WHAT YOU’RE NOT!! . That’s the big difference. I don’t just accept that I have to work from 8am till 10pm, I LOVE IT. I’d work even longer if I didn’t have to do things like sleep and maintain my sanity . . I’ve been a hard worker ever since I can remember. I worked tirelessly towards my goals and I saw NOTHING in return for years. I won’t lie, I was discouraged at many times but I KEPT PUSHING ON. . I knew that no1 was going to SAVE ME. I knew that it was up to ME. And I had to continue to put that work in and find a way to make everything work out. . I worked for ungodly hours for minuscule earnings. People looked at me like I was crazy. They would ask: “Why would you work so hard for so little?” The truth is I was working for my freedom. I had already dedicated so many hours, so much of my life to chasing my goals, I was too far in and I had no choice but to go forward. . I purposely did not have a “backup” and coming from a poor family i didn’t have the luxury of a safety net. . I saw the bigger picture. I was willing to do the work, make the sacrifices and put in the time because I was doing it all FOR ME. I was working for myself and MY FUTURE. I wasn’t working for some company that didn’t care about me, everything was on my shoulders and I WOULD REEP THE BENEFITS of my work if it paid off. . But I had no clue if anything would pay off. No guarantees, no wise mentors around me who had been there and done that, it was all a long period of trial and error. Trying things, failing and adapting. Having small successes then doubling down. . Slow steady growth was my path. I’ve never been “lucky”, nobody gave me a handout. I’ve just done the work, done the research and been VERY PATIENT. . And now I’m about to reap these rewards b. And I will continue to work harder, smarter and more ferociously THAN YOU. I will never let you overtake me in this race, but I want you to succeed also! . Take this as a challenge, not an insult. I challenge you to try and outwork me. I challenge you to DO THE WORK. I implore you to #BEBETTER . #motivationmonday I wake up every morning EXCITED to get to WORK! . Some days are filled with more boring and repetitive tasks but I love those days the same because I know that I’m building something great for myself. . I put in the necessary work so I can see the results I want. I don’t mind working harder than all my peers for a fraction of their wages because I know it will pay off. Working for MYSELF doing something I LOVE is PRICELESS anyway! . I worked my ass off for YEARS for no wage, a low income and no security. My family and friends thought I was mad and suggested I get A JOB. . Now look at me. I do WHAT I WANT. My bills GET PAID. And I’m building mechanisms, products and revenue streams that have LONGEVITY. . I’m willing to work from 8:30 till 10pm. I’m willing to work weekends. I’m willing to put in the time and effort that other people would rather spend watching TV (the electrical income reducer - word to @milesbeckler ). . You get out what you put in and I damn sure have put A LOT in. I’m happy and pleased that everything is coming full circle but this is just the BEGINNING. There is so much MORE work to be done and I am going to do it with a smile! . Let’s get it! You can do it too if you commit to the work and you rebuke laziness! #bebetter YOU are in control of your life and your future. Once you realise that your life is in your hands and your future is dictated by your own choices - everything changes. . Everything bad that’s happened to you, that’s your fault. Everything good that’s happened to you, that’s your fault too. . Focus on what YOU can control and disdain what you cannot have/control. Work harder, smarter and treat yourself like someone you LIKE! . Do what’s BEST for you. Give yourself the time and opportunity to create a life that you can enjoy and be happy with. Stop punishing yourself and doing things that you KNOW are bad for you. . Make yourself a priority. Love yourself, become good friends with yourself, learn to enjoy your own company. Be the real you and stop trying to please/appease others at the expense of your own happiness.
