After enjoying a particularly chilled weekend, Monday reared its ugly little head and it was time to get back to work.
I spent the day editing and finishing up my book How To Make A Song At
Home. The book is basically going to guide you through the various steps you need to take in order to create a sick song for cheap in the comfort of your own home. For those of you who are interested, the book will cover the following sections:
- Creating a home studio
- Production
- Songwriting
- Recording
- Mixing
- Mastering
My aim is to make creating quality music accessible to beginners who have little idea of what they’re doing and offer helpful advice via my own experience to those who are more adept. I also released a new song called Right Now. That’s off my upcoming dance EP The Love Story (it’d be sick if you pre-ordered that). The song is about trying to prevent a break up and reconcile with a lover by focusing on the ‘right now’ and not spoiling the moment by bringing up loads of old bullshit.
