Seeing as I receive spam everyday without fail, it’s led me to believe that people want me to check out their music. First of all, I don’t have the time to listen to everyone’s music. I’m out here trying to make my own and get shit done. So I charge for consultations and reviews, I’m also going to be releasing an artist development program real soon on JCMpire.com. But if you’re too stingy to pay the price, or you feel you’re entitled to have me listen to your stuff, please take note of a few suggestions I’ve got for you.
Don’t send me your music links unless I ask
If I want to hear your music, I will explicitly let you know that. I DO NOT want you crowding up my mentions with links to stuff I didn’t ask for. If you do that I will block you real quick.
Engage with the stuff I post
If you retweet or reply to my tweets, I’m likely to go check your profile out and see what’s up. You should have a link to your best song or your website in your bio (if you link to your website I’ll take you more seriously). If you do, I’ll usually check your stuff out if I have the time. If I like it, I’ll let you know, otherwise I’ll keep my opinion to myself.
Support my music
If you buy any of my singles, my EP, or anything else I’m selling, upload a screenshot and @ me. This will make me 200% more likely to want to see what you’ve got going on and check out any music you’re making.
Buy one of my beats
If you buy a beat from me, let me know when you’ve finished the song and I’ll definitely ask to hear it. I’ll be curious to see what you’ve done over my production and, if you ask, I’ll be sure to give you my honest opinion and any tips I can offer.
