Being a creative entrepreneur isn’t all smooth sailing…
You know this if you’ve put any real effort into pursuing your dreams.
But, sometimes the person who is hardest on us, is us.
When the inspiration isn’t there…
When the finished product isn’t EXACTLY how we wanted it to turn out…
When we don’t feel like we’re good enough…
We tend to beat ourselves up.
Here’s the thing:
Tough love might be necessary, especially if you know you have a tendency to be a lazy slacker…
But, just because you’re the boss…doesn’t mean that you should be an asshole to yourself.
I’ve been guilty of this a lot and I’m working on treating me better.
There’s still no excuses allowed around here…
But, taking breaks and chilling out is okay and NECESSARY…
That’s why I spent yesterday evening watching season 2 of One Punch Man.
There’s more:
I had been staying away from quality TV series because I didn’t want to get sucked in and waste my time.
But I realised, I gotta treat myself to things I like and enjoy…
(btw, there’s also a GREAT series on Amazon called: The Boys, thanks me later)
I have TIME to achieve the things I want to achieve, there’s no rush…
Otherwise, what’s the point?
This quote below helped me see the error of my ways.
It’s something you should write down and keep somewhere you can see it everyday:

And, this goes both ways…
Don’t take this as an excuse to be a LAZY larry…
But, also remember to take a chill pill now and then.
Treating yourself like someone you’re responsible for helping or taking care of will work WONDERS for you…
I already feel 100x better by implementing this principle in my own life…
And, I’ve still been working incredibly hard…
In fact, I still have to mix and upload beats today because I made a BUNCH of music last week…
