I don’t have a lot of time to play PS4 games, so when I do, I try to play the very best games out. This list is based my own opinion obviously, so feel free to share your opinions with me and all that good stuff. These are 5 PS4 games to look out for in 2015:
1. The Witcher 3
Release Date: May 19, 2015
Coming up first and also being released first is The Witcher 3. This game is a mature fantasy open-world RPG set in a dark gritty world where the amount of death makes Game Of Thrones look like a kid’s show. I love a good RPG and I like being able to make choices that shape the game world. The Witcher 3 offers that and much more. The amount of side quests and things to do in this game seem to be quite expansive and I presume it’s going to be well worth the money.

2. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
Release Date: September 1, 2015
Metal Gear Solid. I could end this paragraph like that tbh. The Metal Gear Solid series is one of the most ambitious and innovative action stealth franchises I have ever known. Hideo Kojima is a master of creating a wild, complicated story with a bunch of twists and turns whilst also implementing some light hearted humour throughout. I didn’t play the Ground Zeroes ‘demo’ that was released last year, but upon seeing the gameplay footage of The Phantom Pain that has been released so far I have no doubt that this is going to be another great addition to the series.

3. Batman: Arkham Knight
Release Date: June 23, 2015
The Arkham series has often been called the best comic-book superhero video game ever. It’s innovative combat system has been imitated and copied in many different games since the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum. The latest game in the series was a disappointment among the majority of critics, but I didn’t play Arkham Origins so I can’t comment on it. However, the upcoming Arkham Knight seems to be more of the good old stealth action gameplay that worked well in the previous titles with the addition of the Batmobile, which I’m not particularly excited about tbh.

4. Star Wars Battlefront
Release Date: November 20, 2015
So DICE (the team behind the Battlefield series) is putting out the third instalment in the Battlefront series. The previous iterations of this shooter were iconic releases on the PS2. The variety of gameplay options were astounding. Dog-fighting in space while attacking the opposing team’s space cruiser, then landing your aircraft in their ship, getting out and embarking on a frantic mission to sabotage the ship from the inside while shooting anyone that got in your way was an unheard of experience before this series arrived. It’s going to be interesting to see what additions and updates they’ve got in store us this year.

5. Just Cause 3
Release Date: TBA
Just Cause is an over the top, adrenaline-fuelled, base-jumping and grappling hook-swinging open-world third person shooter. Based on a remote island ruled by a generally terrible dictator, your job is to cause chaos, jump out of planes onto the tops of other planes to hijack the said planes and then jump out and parachute onto a civilian’s car before hijacking that. It gets a bit crazy as you can tell. If the previous instalments in the series are anything to go by, this game is going to be wild.
